Finding Purpose Beyond Parenting
I am Sandra, The Single Empty Nester and mother of three grown children. I live in Louisiana with my dog Sage. I was born in the late sixties; therefore, I am part of the Generation X era. It was difficult being a single mother and raising three children on my own, but I did it successfully.
I am a great mom, and my children and I have great relationships.
I spent so many years putting my dreams and aspirations of theater and media arts on the back burner so that I could be a full-time parent to my children. I always knew that one day, when my kids were grown and gone, I would get back to the things that I was passionate about. Because I know there are so many others in the world who also put their dreams on the back burner so they could care for others, I created this website.
It's a safe space where you can be inspired, explore ideas, share your thoughts, and much more. It’s a place for empty nesters, single parents, GenXers, retirees, widows, widowers, and anyone else who needs a little inspiration with changing their lives, starting over, or pursuing the dreams that were put on the back burner.
