Finding Purpose Beyond Parenting
I am Sandra, The Single Empty Nester and mother of three grown children. I live in Louisiana with my dog Sage. I was born in the late sixties, which makes me part of the Generation X era. Being a single mother and raising three children on my own was challenging, but I did it successfully.
I consider myself a great mom, and my children and I have strong relationships.
For many years, I put my dreams and aspirations of theater and media arts on hold to focus on being a full-time parent. However, I always knew that one day, when my kids were grown and gone, I would get back to the things I am passionate about. Understanding that many others have also put their dreams on the back burner to care for loved ones, I created this website as a form of empty nester support.
This space is designed to inspire you, explore ideas, share thoughts, and much more. It’s a welcoming community for empty nesters, single parents, GenXers, retirees, widows, widowers, and anyone looking for inspiration in reclaiming dreams, starting over, or changing their lives.
